Privacy Policy

Effective 21 September 2026 · CareSync Family, operated by Piedmont Accounting ("we").

Account data for caregivers who sign in: name, email address, hashed password,

and optionally a mobile number if you want daily summaries by text.

Care data you enter: the name of the person you care for, their mobile number

(only if you turn reminders on), medications, dose times, dose logs, appointments,

family posts and any photos you upload.

Technical data: session cookies, and a record of every text message we send or

receive, so we can prove what happened and when.

We do not collect: diagnoses, insurance or policy numbers, government ID numbers,

card numbers (we never take payments in the app), location tracking, or advertising

identifiers. There is no third-party analytics or advertising tracker on this site.

Only to run the service you asked for: reminding the person you care for about their

medication, telling your family what was taken and when, showing appointments, and

keeping an audit record. Nothing else.

Reminder texts are sent through a messaging provider (Telnyx) on our behalf. Anyone

who receives reminders can reply STOP at any time and reminders stop immediately,

or HELP for instructions. Standard message rates may apply.

We do not sell or share your data. Data is visible only to the caregivers inside your

family account, and to us as the operator for support and to keep the service running.

Photos older than 30 days are deleted automatically (the log entry stays, so the record

of the dose is intact). Everything else is kept while your account exists. You can

export all of your data (CSV + JSON) from Settings at any time, and you can delete

your account and its data from Settings — deletion is immediate and permanent, and we

take a backup only long enough to protect against a mistake.

Traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Passwords are stored hashed, never in plain

text. Each family's data is separated at the code level and covered by automated tests.

Access, correction, export, deletion, and withdrawal of consent — do it yourself from

Settings, or write to support@piedmontaccounting.com and we will do it for you.

If we change this policy in a way that affects you, we will ask you to accept the new

version the next time you sign in.
